Artist Statement:
What image can you see in jewelry? Moth?
Wolf? Face? Alien? Soldier? I have always
wanted to give people a surprise with my
jewelry, and make them smile when they
see what is camouflaged.
What was your starting point or your
inspiration for doing this project?
Accidentally, soldiers disappear when I put
them symmetrically and something
appears!
Do you have a personal (or other)
connection to the exhibition’s theme?
No, I do not.
What were the main reasons for choosing
the materials, shapes or technique in your
work?
I use copper often because I like when it is
oxidized as if it is rusty. Also I am good at
cutting metal all by hands and I use simple
techniques. Armor series are created
through playing with one shape combining
as blocks. My jewelry is always created
with enjoyable experiments and
happenings.
What kind of feeling you wish the viewers
will get from your work?
Excited!
If you could give your Jewelry to an
important figure in the Middle East who
will he/she be? and why?
I do not know...
